Good, quality food for no additional cost (other than the
specialty restaurants) is available on Carnival ships. The Main Dining
Rooms offer great options for breakfast/lunch and dinner. From creative
french toast, to steak and eggs, to lobster tails and even Dr. Seuss themed
breakfast....try the green eggs and ham.
Other free options include:
Guy's Burgers (brought to you by Guy Fieri)
Blue Iguana Cantina (great tacos and burritos)
24-hour pizza (made fresh)
Buffets
Tandor (great Indian cuisine)
24-hour ice cream
And many others...
Some of the specialty restaurants that charge a fee include:
A Steakhouse
Bonsai Sushi
JiJi Asian Kitchen
And others...
We don't recall any bad meals on any of our Carnival cruises. The only
real drawback we've experienced is that the wait time in the Main Dining Rooms
tend to be long at times. Your wait staff is very attentive, and even
provide some evening entertainment by dancing to some well-known tunes.
So far, our favorite: Have to say it's a tie between Tandor and the lunch
burritos at Blue Iguana Cantina.
