After
visiting Cozumel Mexico multiple times, we would have to say that this is a
spot we would visit on any cruise itinerary or vacation. So far, we've
always been able to find something new to do. One thing that's guaranteed
is that there will be plenty of opportunities for shopping!
Whether traveling as a family, a couple, or single vacationer, you should never
have a problem finding some sort of adventure in Cozumel. We've done the
all-inclusive resort for a day in El-Cid, which is only a short walk from the
cruise port, where we enjoyed an all you can eat buffet, and endless
drinks....yes, even the ones with alcohol! A swimming pool, beach, and
decent snorkeling helped keep us and the kids occupied. For a total of 4,
we spent less than $200.
On another visit to Cozumel, we spent time at Paradise Beach. It was just
a quick taxi ride from the cruise port. Though not all-inclusive like
several other spots in Cozumel, the prices were very affordable. There,
we enjoyed some authentic Mexican meals, a large swimming pool, and some
parasailing! For the parasailing, we paid $150 for 3 people together. For
our entire trip to Paradise Beach, for 3 people, we spent less than $200
total.
There are plenty of other beaches and all-inclusive resort spots in
Cozumel. Each come with their own pros and cons, but the overall reviews
we've read on them have all been positive. If beaches and/or resorts
aren't what you're looking for, there are plenty of other excursions.
As for the shopping in Cozumel, it's everywhere! From the moment you step
into the port, there are countless options. From jewelry, to alcohol, to
toys and souvenirs, and much more. Our advice, if you have something in
mind, or find something you really want, you should probably look around just a
little more first as many of the shops sale some of the same things for
different prices. For example, we found a travel bag at one spot for
$40. Less than 5 minutes later, we found the same bag at another spot for
$30. Minutes later, we found and purchased the same bag at another spot
for $20 after a little bit of bargaining.
Our favorite thing about Cozumel at this point: The options. Each
time we go, we find something new to do.
